Fresh Flower Care

Ensure your beautiful flowers last all day!

Flowers are perishable products similar to the fruits and vegetables you buy at the grocery store, which means they require specific care to last as long as possible for your special day! First, make sure they remain in water throughout the day. You will want to keep your bouquet in water until you carry it down the aisle. If possible, also store the bouquet(s) in a cool dark space for ultimate freshness. Do NOT place your flowers in a refrigerator! This is a common mistake that leads to brown, wilting flowers. Floral coolers and food refrigerators operate at different temperatures and airflow. Food refrigerators are not optimized for flower storage and could ruin your lovely flowers.

What to do after the wedding?

If you would like to keep your bouquet to adorn your dining table or to preserve it forever, trim the stems and place it in a vase with fresh water after the wedding ceremony. Be sure to have arrangements with a preservation company prior to your wedding date so they can receive your blooms in a timely manner. As for arches, table arrangements, and other flowers from your day, I recommend sharing them with guests or donating them to a nursing home or hospital! If you chose our full-service option, we will breakdown your remaining flowers and either compost or donate them.

Thanks for reading about how to prolong the life of your flowers. Wishing you the best day full of vibrant, fresh blooms!
